Compass Rose Airstream

This is Compass Rose's resting spot to weather out the storms, beside my house. I had an area excavated and reinforced with rail road tie retaining walls.
I like having her close and sometimes go down there to remember fun times while putzing around, cleaning, reorganizing the ton of storage space.
She is a 25 Ft 1988 Excella in amazing vintage condition. I love her.

My default place to go is Bisbee Arizona being 90 minutes away. Much higher in elevation than Tucson so usually cooler and great campground practically in-town just above the mine tours.
That is the Copper Queen Hotel above the cab of truck in first image. This is a charming friendly town where I have gotten to know local artists and characters.
Great views of juxtaposed buildings to paint and sketch too. There are the 4 yorkies watching the parade of people n dogs in camp ground.

This is a beauty shot of the rig while it was parked when we sketched at San Pedro Riparian area between Sierra Vista and Tombstone.

Every year I spend New Years eve with  great bunch of people at the Airstream Rally in Picacho peak state park. We get the second loop and 25 or more airstreams, new and old from all over the four corners area converge for several days of tamale making, trailer upgrades, potlucks, white elephant exchanges, and of course drinking and bonfires.
A rally was my first trip ever, and thank goodness these people were there to help me make heads and tails of the equipment of my 1988 25 foot Excella.
Despite not having electricity, heat or water on that maiden voyage, the trailer was still the best tent EVER! I have since gotten all that fixed and love taking her out.

Drove my rig for first time ever!! Filled up trailer tires, put gas in truck for first time ever too!
Was a lot fun actually. Helped that it is Christmas day an no traffic! Practiced turning corners in local engineering firms parking lot.

Going to pick up Compass Rose my 1988 25 foot Excella Airstream today!!!
Here are the insurance photos!!
